Welcome to the Ohio Association of Career-Technical Schools
The Ohio Association of City Career Technical Schools is an affiliation of forty-three Compacts and Comprehensive Schools in Ohio.  Our students are engaged in rigorous programs in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) pathways such as PLTW Engineering, Information Technology, Nursing, and Biotechnology just to name a few.  They are earning college credit in high school and learning technical skills that give them a head start over other students to post-secondary education and careers.

Career Tech Education is one answer to today’s economic reality that students need to be trained for a high-skill, high-wage workforce.  Career Technical Education consist of programs of study that involve a multiyear sequence of courses that integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge to provide students with a pathway to postsecondary education and careers. Ohio has three delivery systems for Career and Technical Education:  Compacts, Comprehensives, and Career Centers.

Read through the successes of our students and visit a Compact or Comprehensive school in your district to see for yourself the opportunities offered through Career Technical Education.
